Rijkswaterstaat is urging that people no longer use the road in the provinces where code red has been in effect since 2 p.m. The highest weather alert has been declared for Zeeland, South Holland, North Holland, Friesland, Flevoland, the Wadden area and the IJsselmeer area. Bus, tram and train transport will also largely come to a standstill.
