A child was injured in a jet ski accident on Wednesday night. This happened near marina ‘t Oude Maasje, north of Waspik.
The accident happened when the driver of the jet ski accidentally accelerated around seven o’clock in the evening. As a result, the colossus came to a stop on an island. In doing so, he hit a tree. The child was on the back and sustained injuries.
The emergency services were called and they eventually arrived with ambulances, police cars and a trauma helicopter. The young victim was taken to the side with another jet ski, after which the child was transported to the hospital. It is unclear how the victim is doing.
