Master coach before moving to Bayern?

Next bitter news for Hertha BSC: The renowned youth coach Michael Hartmann will probably leave the capital city club, which is threatened with relegation, in the summer. A change to FC Bayern is in the room.

Michael Hartmann has been working in the junior division of Hertha’s BSC for almost nine years now. The record of the successful coach is impressive: in 2014/2015 he brought the DFB Cup with the U19, in 2017/2018 the German championship to Berlin.

Hartmann had previously left his footprints in Hertha history as a professional. He completed 289 competitive games in the jersey of the old lady, for which the former midfielder played from 1994 to the end of 2004.

If you believe a current “Image”report, Hertha BSC and Hartmann will part ways after the current season.

Internally, the 47-year-old has already announced his departure. Just like sports director Arne Friedrich and junior manager Benjamin Weber, Hartmann will probably turn his back on the Berliners.

Hertha BSC: Will Michael Hartmann move to Bayern?

Where Hartmann will work in the future is still open. According to the report, however, he could be drawn to Bayern Munich.

In Munich, he was already a topic in the summer of 2020, when Sebastian Hoeneß left the record champions’ U23 to start a new chapter as head coach at 1899 Hoffenheim. At that time there was no cooperation between Hartmann and FC Bayern – will it look different in the summer of 2022?

In any case, it seems clear: There is no place for the Noch-Hertha coach in the second-team coaching staff. Ex-professional Martin Demichelis is doing a good job with his staff. The reserves of FC Bayern are in second place in the Bayern Regionalliga.

In the youth field, however, those responsible in Munich could find a position for Hartmann, it is said.
