According to a report by “Sky”, Austria’s national soccer player Christoph Baumgartner is switching from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to Bundesliga rival RB Leipzig.
The medical check has therefore already been completed and the official announcement will be made in the next few days. The two clubs have not yet confirmed the transfer of the 23-year-old midfielder.
According to “Sky”, Baumgartner should change for a sum of 27 million euros plus possible bonus payments, his contract with the Saxons is estimated to last until the summer of 2027.
At cup winners Leipzig, Baumgartner could play an important role on the offensive following Christopher Nkunku’s departure to Chelsea.
He has been active at TSG since 2017 – first as a youth, then in the second team and in recent years with the professionals.
