riding | Olympic champion is missing at the CHIO

Eventing Olympic champion Julia Krajewski will not compete at the CHIO in Aachen (June 23rd to July 2nd).

The 34-year-old from Warendorf, who won DM gold last weekend in Luhmühlen with young horse Ero, is not in the German squad for the World Equestrian Festival in the Soers. Amande, Krajewski’s gold horse from Tokyo 2021, is suffering from a hoof injury and will be rested this year.

Nominated for the Nations Cup in Aachen are three-time Olympic champion Michael Jung with Chipmunk, Sandra Auffarth with Viamant du Matz, Malin Hansen-Hotopp with Carlitos Quidditch and German runner-up Christoph Wahler with Carjatan. Team Olympic champion Ingrid Klimke is missing after an operation on her collarbone.
