Attack on rescuers from the fire brigade at Treptower Park on Saturday evening – arrest!
According to the police, the apparently heavily intoxicated suspect was a guest at a company party in a concert hall on Alt-Treptow Street around 10 p.m. Security officials are said to have expelled him from the house because of his condition.
The 25-year-old returned shortly afterwards, but was not allowed in and eventually walked away in the direction of Puschkinallee. A security officer then observed the 25-year-old in an altercation with a cyclist – and called the fire department’s emergency services.
When the crew of the ambulance arrived and wanted to treat the 25-year-old, he is said to have hit his fists in the direction of the emergency services (30, 32) and spat on the 30-year-old. Both paramedics were unharmed.
Police officers took the rioters into custody for blood sampling, then he was released again.
