According to franchisees and brothers Batuhan and Bedirhan Bolat, the restaurant should have been open long ago, but the renovation of the building was delayed for months for various reasons.
Best sellers baked potato and gözleme
Many people know Ekmekci from other cities such as The Hague and Rotterdam. “We regularly hear that people are happy that we now also have a branch in Zoetermeer. Customers come especially for our gözleme,” says Bedirhan. “That is folded fresh dough with a filling of your choice, such as meat, chicken, vegetables, fish, falafel or cheese and a topping on top. Or for our baked potato with butter, salt and cheese on the inside and on top of different toppings.” Batuhan adds: “This summer our homemade lemonades are a hit. We have them in different flavors such as strawberry and watermelon, berry and green apple.”

Traditional dishes
Ekmekci is also the right place for a traditional hair salon, Turkish pizza or falafel wraps. “In the morning we welcome our guests for a cup of coffee, Turkish tea or a delicious breakfast. Our dishes can be ordered throughout the day, so there is no fixed time frame,” says Batuhan. At Ekmekci you can pick up your meal or eat it on site. Take a seat at one of the tables in the colorfully decorated restaurant or at one of the tables on the outdoor terrace, which will soon have a few more tables.
