Many bankruptcies in the construction industry

A total of 906 companies in the construction sector went bankrupt in Belgium from January to May of this year, a record. According to Embuild, this is partly due to the low start-up costs for construction companies, which means that there are automatically more starters. The disappearance of the corona measures also means the death knell for many construction companies. The construction federation advocates a reduction in wage costs in the construction industry.
