Update of the SuperLeague
In the Romanian SuperLiga, midfielder Darius Olaru from FCSB extended his top position in the market value update – without being upgraded or devalued himself. While the 25-year-old is stagnating at 5.3 million euros, his pursuers Octavian Popescu (20; also FCSB) and Andrei Burca (30) are slightly downgraded by CFR Cluj. Popescu falls by 0.2m to 3.8m euros, Burca by 0.3m to 3.7m euros. This brings the field closer together behind Olaru, the market value winners Cristian Manea (25; Cluj) and Florinel Coman (25; FCSB) are now at 3.5 million euros after jumps of 0.5 million and one million euros respectively.
Coman, who particularly impressed in the championship round of the SuperLiga with four goals and five assists in ten games for the runners-up, is one of two players to gain a million. This also applies to Marko Dugandzic (29) from FC Rapid 1923, who is now at 2.5 million euros after six goals in the championship round.
In percentage terms, two talents from champions FCV Farul Constanta are attracting attention in terms of market value jumps: winger Adrian Mazilu and left-back Andrei Borza. The two 17-year-olds were among the big positive surprises for the champions and played regularly, especially in the second half of the season. Mazilu wins 900,000 and is now at 1.3m, Borza is now at 1m after up 600,000.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
