Dominik Szoboszlai from German Cup winners RB Leipzig has to pay a fine of 30,000 euros because of his pyro action with a burning torch in his hand. This was announced by the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB).
The Hungarian national player, who held a Bengal fire in his outstretched hand inside the Berlin Olympic Stadium after winning the DFB Cup final against Eintracht Frankfurt on June 3, 2023, has already agreed to the verdict.
According to dpa information, Szoboszlai should also be asked to pay internally at the Saxon Bundesliga club. RB is a strict opponent of pyrotechnics. This is severely punished in their own stadium, and those responsible repeatedly position themselves publicly against it.
