Observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) counted 500 explosions along the line of contact in Donbass over the past day, declared Head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine Yashar Halit Cevik at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
“Between last night and 11:20 Kyiv time (12:20 Moscow time. — RBC) today <...> the SMM recorded 500 explosions along the line of contact,” he said.
According to Chevik, by the evening of February 17, the intensity decreased, and after 12:20 Moscow time, the mission registered about 30 explosions.
