“My house is on fire and my children are inside,” Kyana (25) shouted Monday afternoon as she lay in the street with two broken feet. In a few minutes she lost everything: her boyfriend Alyas (25), her two children, her dogs and her home. This is a reconstruction of that Ghent horror and the possible cause of that all-consuming fire. “She was still shouting their names, but they didn’t jump after her.”
