Second division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf has committed another player from third division second SC Freiburg II.
Dutch attacker Vincent Vermeij, who scored 15 goals last season, is moving to the Rhinelanders. Fortuna did not specify the duration of the contract.
The 28-year-old Vermeij brings “the skills of a classic center forward and is technically well trained. We’re looking forward to a dangerous and hard-working attacker,” said Klaus Allofs, Board Member for Sport and Communication.
It was only on Monday that Düsseldorf announced the commitment of junior national player Yannik Engelhardt, the 22-year-old was Vermeij’s teammate in SC’s third division team.
