American billionaire and philanthropist George Soros is handing over control of his empire to his son Alexander Soros, writes The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). The 92-year-old Soros, who is not very popular among American conservatives, has used his assets since the 1980s to support economic and judicial reform, minority and refugee rights and freedom of expression, among other things.
