Marcel van Roosmalen takes some getting used to that he and his buddy Gijs Groenteman have suddenly become an important subject for media watchers because of their SBS 6 show Marcel & Gijs.
The first week of Marcel & Gijs is over and the gentlemen score less than half the number of viewers of Today Inside, but it is also not a mega flop à la Nadia, Ruud & Olcay or Avastars. The viewing figures have even slightly increased in recent days, with 420 thousand viewers yesterday and a 13 percent market share.
Tina is hopeful
Every day, viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp sheds light on the scores of this important SBS 6 talk show, and that is of course logical: Today Inside is the channel’s most important program and many people were curious how the summer replacement would score.
Tina is actually quite hopeful. She’s got it The Telegraph said: “I actually give it a 6.5 I must say. A 6.5 to a 7. Yes, I think they do a pretty good job. Of course they don’t score as well as VI, but if I still see that they score 10.7 in the target group, then I think it can be even better, so the potential is there.”
Enough
Angela de Jong is very negative about the show, but Tina is not. “I give it a pass though. I watch it every night, because I always watched VI, so it has become a regular ritual for me to watch SBS 6 at half past nine. I have to be honest: I like it much less than VI.”
What a madness, thinks Marcel van Roosmalen. He responds in Marcel & Gijs: “I think it’s very strange that you are then completely addressed by people like this. What is this?! Why am I getting grades from her? I mean, it’s really crazy, isn’t it? I’m not going to hand out numbers all day, am I?”
Cross talk
Finally: what suddenly happened to the cross talk with the stars of Hart van Nederland? That was much discussed in the first three episodes, but since Thursday it is suddenly out.
Marcel sarcastically: “No, there’s no time for that anymore. Tonight we had Marjon de Hond. No, that is no longer possible. There was just a line crossed. We will talk about the cause of this later.”
