A man who was seriously injured in an accident on the Vierslagenweg (N853) near New Amsterdam last night has died. It concerns a 26-year-old man from the municipality of Coevorden.
Two other occupants, a 25-year-old man from Coevorden and a 22-year-old man from Klazienaveen, were injured and taken to hospital.
The victims’ car left the road around a quarter past eleven and ended up in a ditch. The emergency services turned out with several ambulances, fire and police cars. The trauma helicopter was also present.
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
