Inditex has incorporated Bizum as a payment method for customers who make their purchases ‘online’ in its brands Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti and Oyshoas reported to Europa Press in sources of the Galician company.
In this way, Inditex joins other companies in the distribution sector, including The English Court o Dia, who already opted for this method payment to facilitate the shopping experience for your customers.
This payment method, which reduces the average purchase time compared to paying by card, joins other systems that were already available in the Inditex group banners such as the bank card or Paypal.
Specific, Stradivarius allows its customers to pay with Bizum for purchases on its website, while Massimo Dutti and Oysho offer this possibility on their website and app. From Inditex they have indicated that the group’s intention is to progressively implement this payment method in all its chains.
Bizum has reached 800 million total operations in 2021 since its launch in October 2016with an associated volume close to 40,000 million euros, exceeding 19 million users.
In 2021 alone, 505 million operations were registered between individuals, 63% of the total operations carried out since the launch, with a volume of 26,000 million euros and an average amount per operation of 51 euros.
Thus, on average, more than 16 bizums per second were carried out in 2021while only on December 1, 2.4 million transactions had been made, almost 28 per second.
In terms of e-commerce payments, 5.3 million purchases worth 320 million euros were made, figures that have been boosted by the increase in the number of online businesses that accept payments with Bizum, which almost tripled during the past year to reach 26,700 businesses.
Bizum highlights that in 2021 there was a record for daily operations in e-commerce through this payment system. Specifically, on November 26, Black Friday, 44,000 purchases worth 3.2 million euros were made.
Total, the payment solution has 15.4 million online commerce users.
