The Veterinary Clinic in Hoogeveen wants all pets to stay healthy and receive the necessary care. This means that people with limited financial resources should also be able to take the animal to a doctor.
The clinic started a half-year trial from May 1 to make pet treatment affordable for low-income families. The Veterinary Clinic itself speaks of a social rate. After the test, it will be checked whether the clinic will continue to offer the consultation hours.
Many service companies are located in Hoogeveen. Hoogeveen also has a relatively large number of minimum income families. Professions in education, government or care fall under the service sector. Think of physiotherapy, the hairdresser, financial advisors and accountants.
