DAX-FLASH: Little movement after a weak start to the week

FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) – After the weaker start to the week, there was little movement in the Dax (DAX 40) on Tuesday. The broker IG appraised the leading German index around two and a half hours before the Xetra start 7 points lower to 15,956 points.

The day before, the Dax had initially followed the strong end of the week with 16,114 points in early trading, but was then clearly in the red. The Dax closed in the area of its sideways 21-day line, which shows the short-term trend. At currently 15,780 points, the 50-day line is waiting as an indicator for the medium-term trend.

After the US debt dispute, which was recently settled at the last minute, interest rate developments are once again in the foreground. According to the experts at Credit Suisse, there is currently a 70 percent probability that the US Federal Reserve will raise interest rates again in June or July. This was shown by the interest rate futures. Overall, the experts at the Swiss bank expect the tightening course to last longer./ag/stk
