In Saturday’s Veikkausliiga round, HJK lost to a goalless draw at home against SJK. With the result, KuPS rose to the top of the Veikkausliiga.
It was the fourth consecutive match for HJK in which they did not win. The club’s previous victory came on May 13, when they knocked off Inter.
HJK is third in the Veikkausliiga, two points away from the top team KuPS, but despite this, the situation is a big disappointment.

The measure of the club’s fans has reached its limit, because on Saturday, shouts demanding Koskela’s dismissal could be heard from the stands. Koskela has coached HJK for more than four years.

The match between Ilves and FC Lahti saw the first player born in 2007 in the history of the Veikkausliiga, when the goalkeeper Osku Maukonen debuted with a goal from Lahti.
16-year-old Maukonen conceded two goals in his debut, and he was replaced in goal at the very end of the match. The match ended in a draw 2–2.
