Guns N’ Roses performed at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Thursday evening (June 1st). Among the more than 30 songs they performed in the capital of the United Arab Emirates were pieces that they hadn’t played in decades.
Including “Anything Goes”, which they performed again for the first time since 1988. “Bad Obsession” from Use Your Illusion I was performed for the first time since 1993, while “Pretty Tied Up” from Use Your Illusion II was performed for the first time since 1992.
The world tour resumes in Tel Aviv on Monday (June 5) before the band performs in Europe and the UK. The European tour will last until mid-August, then the North American tour will begin, which will last until mid-October. In Germany, the group will play at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt am Main on Monday, July 3rd.

Guns N’ Roses played a total of nine “Appetite for Destruction” songs in Abu Dhabi. Including “Sweet Child o’ Mine”, “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Mr. Brownstone”, the opener “It’s So Easy” and the close “Paradise City”. The singles “Hard Skool” and “Absurd”, released in 2022, were both included in the program.
The setlist also included a number of cover songs. They performed for the first time “TV Eye” by the Stooges with GNR bassist Duff McKagan on vocals, “Live and Let Die” by the Wings, “Slither” by Velvet Revolver, “Nice Boys” by Rose Tattoo, “Wichita Lineman” by Jimmy Webb and “Down on the Farm” by the UK Subs.
