Supporters Club Brugge are not worried about a possible sale
In the cafes on the Platse in Sint-Andries, the sale of Club Brugge is talking about the tongues. They don’t know the details, but they don’t worry too much. Erwin Haesebrouck, Club Brugge supporter: “I think they are one of the best structured clubs in Belgium at the moment. So they won’t just hand that over to someone who will then leave it to their fate.”
Nedal Chentou, Club Brugge supporter: “I think it’s a pity that it’s for sale, I don’t really understand why. A few years ago they wanted to go public and now it’s for sale.”

According to Club Brugge itself, the club wants to look to the future, but nothing is concrete yet. The fact that Bart Verhaeghe wants to sell the club also has to do with the lingering stadium file, they think here. “I do think that is one of Bart’s major concerns. He came to the club with great ambitions at the time. He has achieved many of those ambitions. National titles, the cup. But the stadium that he wanted to realize quickly will come not there due to certain circumstances and I think that’s a pity.”
If it comes to a takeover, the supporters mainly hope that the values of Club Brugge will be preserved.
