The US sporting goods supplier Nike Inc. presented the future head of the Converse label, which belongs to the group, on Monday. Jared Carver will become the brand’s new president and CEO on June 1, the company said. He succeeds Scott Uzzell, who recently became Nike’s vice president and general manager, North America, as part of a major personnel reform.
Carver has extensive leadership experience at Converse. He has been with the brand for more than ten years and has led the label’s North American business for the past four years. During this time, Nike said he was able to generate “strong growth” in Converse’s most important market.
