Bayern Munich | Is Bayern’s first star player thinking of saying goodbye?

Alphonso Davies still has an ongoing contract with FC Bayern until the summer of 2025. After he was again one of the biggest assets at Munich with 38 games across the season, the working paper should actually be extended ahead of time. Everything could be different now.

The reason for this is the Bayern earthquake at management level. The player’s side had already had positive talks about a possible contract extension with the old club management around CEO Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.

According to information from “Bild”, there should even have been a handshake between the Bayern bosses and Davies advisor Nedal Househ, who decided on a basic agreement.

On the days after the championship decision, there should now be further negotiations, which would then have been about concrete numbers. This appointment has burst due to the events of the past few days. Agent Nedal Househ will leave Munich on Wednesday without having achieved anything.

Davies advisor wants to postpone extension at Bayern

“It’s a chaotic time at Bayern Munich. I’m not sure what’s going on and who we’re going to be dealing with,” the Davies advisor was quoted as saying in “Bild”.

Regarding the current situation at the German record champions, Househ said: “There seems to be too much instability and uncertainty as to the direction of the club.”

The 53-year-old added that he initially intends to refrain from reaching an early agreement with Bayern Munich on an early contract extension for his world-famous client: “Maybe it’s better if we wait until 2024 and see how things go at the club develop before we move on to a new contract.”

Alphonso Davies has been linked with several top European clubs in recent weeks. Among others with Real Madrid and Manchester City.
