“African temperatures in Hilversum”
Big party today in the old harbor of Hilversum. The Hilversum One foundation is organizing the Africa Day Festival for the third time. There are stalls with African products and there is plenty to find for lovers of good food. From Bakkeljouw to chicken curry via the roti or a pom sandwich. So you don’t have to cook tonight.
What mainly contributes to the atmosphere of the festival is the weather. The sun burns nicely in the old harbor and if you close your eyes for a moment, it almost smells and sounds like you are on another continent. In the course of the afternoon it became increasingly crowded at the festival. Many families with children made it a fun and educational day out.
The municipality of Hilversum is pleased with the Festival, through Alderman for Culture Arno Schepers. According to Schepers, it is very worthwhile to support the Africa Day and to see all the ciltures that exist come together in Hilversum
The festival in the old harbor in Hilversum will continue until eleven o’clock tonight with African bands and DJs.
