Olympic athlete left homeless – Now lives on the street

Binkowski, who competed in the Sydney Olympics in 2000, is now homeless. He lives on the streets of Warsaw.

During his sports career, Binkowski lived in Canada, where he moved at the age of 13. When he returned to Poland a little over a month ago, the difficulties began.

The Fist hero’s Canadian debit card was canceled and he had no way to pay for housing.

– This situation is not my fault. I have not had access to my bank account for three weeks. I don’t want your help. I’ll make it, Binkowski said according to Sport.pl.

The Pole says that he stopped by the Canadian embassy almost every day asking for a new bank card. So far, he has not been postponed.

Binkowski is surrounded by rumors that his homelessness is due to alcoholism and drug use. The ex-boxer wants to deny these talks.

– I am an Olympic athlete, not an alcoholic. Sometimes I drink a little, for example to celebrate my birthday or the New Year. I have never touched drugs, he assures.

Binkowski has been in prison several times. According to his ex-wife’s order, he is not allowed to have anything to do with his children, but he has not followed the order.
