US thinks Ukrainian security service behind drone attack on Kremlin | Abroad

The Americans say Ukraine is behind the drone attack on the Kremlin based on intercepted communications from both Russian and Ukrainian government employees. Two drones are said to have been shot down by the Russian army in the night of 2 to 3 May.

Remarkably, just at the moment of the explosion, two people climb the dome of the Kremlin, as can be seen in the images below. The independent Russian news website Meduza writes that an anonymous channel of the Russian security services on Telegram reports that these are people responsible for the “air defense” of the Kremlin.

Only the roof of the Kremlin was slightly damaged in the attack. There were no injuries, according to Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin was not present that night. Russia previously accused the United States of the drone attack on the Kremlin, but failed to provide any evidence.

US officials also suspect pro-Ukrainian groups are behind the killing of a prominent Russian nationalist, a pro-Russian blogger and several other attacks on Russian towns near the border with Ukraine. According to the United States, the attack on the Nord Stream pipelines can also point in the direction of a pro-Ukrainian group.
