Gerard Joling doesn’t want to go with Gordon anymore, even for an extra three hundred thousand euros

Gerard Joling would even no longer want to make a program with Gordon for an extra fee of 300,000 euros on top of his RTL 4 contract. “I don’t have to do it for the money.”

Now that Gordon’s image is completely in a mess, there seems to be only one person who can pull him out of the swamp: Gerard Joling. Their joint programs have always been a huge success due to the chemistry the two have on a professional level. Privately, however, the gentlemen have a love-hate relationship with each other.

Geer and Gore

Gerard will be in the afternoon show of Radio 538 asked if he will ever rekindle his TV duoship with Gordon. Sidekick Jelte van der Goot: “Gerard, have you been called by Hans Klok yet?”

Presenter Frank Dane: “Good question!”

Gerard: “Well, he called me this week when he was in Germany. That he is touring and that it is going very well.”

Frank: “We had him here in the show, because Hans Klok wants to get you and Gordon back together on television. He would work on it, but if I hear it now…”

“Didn’t say anything?”

Gerard tries to talk about it, because he prefers not to say anything more about Gordon in the media. “No, I did talk about it like: ‘Hans, if you’re a bit near Cologne or Düsseldorf, I’ll go there.’”

Newsreader Airen Mylene: “He didn’t say anything?”

Frank: “He didn’t start about Gordon with you?”

Gerard: “No, we didn’t talk about that. I didn’t discuss that with him. Absolutely not.”

Disappointing

Too bad, says Frank. And not according to the agreement. “Well, how disappointing. Maybe we should take over.”

Gerard: “Well, I just wouldn’t do that. Just let Gordon relax in that sandbox there in Dubai and leave me alone, because I’m dying from work and I’m going to do so many fun things.”

For extra money then? Frank: “An extra barrel. An extra barrel, Gerard.”

Gerard: “Well, you know…”

Three tons

Frank: “Two barrels!”

Gerard: “You know, I like it so much that I can just tell you that I don’t have to do it for the money and you already knew that for thirty years, but that’s not the point.”

Frank: “Three barrels.”

No, not even for three tons more. Gerard: “No, guys, it’s about the fact that ehhh… I’m coming out with a nice English dance EP on Friday, maybe that’s nice for you to know.”
