Club Brugge snatches important points from Antwerp in title fight

The first half was difficult. It was a search for both teams. Zipper almost had the 1-0 at the foot, but left it behind. On the other hand, it was Janssen who came close to the opening goal. Not much else happened.

Spectacular after rest

The level immediately went up after the break. Nielsen was allowed to come in at half time for Mata, and what a substitution. The Dane hit the opening goal against the ropes after barely five minutes in the second half. Not much later there was immediately the 2-0. The other substitute, Romeo Vermant, gave an excellent deep ball to Nielsen, who pushed the ball in over the corner.

The honor

Blauw-Zwart was already out for the title. Still, it can be satisfied, Club takes its first points in the Play-offs and straightens its back after a difficult period. Antwerp has to watch tonight’s match, with a win against Genk, Union will be the new leader.
