Large-scale operation for the fire brigade on Thursday in Hennigsdorf (Oberhavel)!
A fire alarm system in a boarding school on Eduard Maurer Strasse was triggered around 4 p.m. When the first rescue workers arrived, flames were already coming from a room on the first floor. The fire also spread to a second room before it could be extinguished.

There is no information about residents who may have been injured. The residential complex was evacuated and a firefighter was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure with suspected smoke inhalation.
According to initial information, refugees from Ukraine are currently living in the hostel. 40 to 50 people are now to be accommodated in another accommodation.
The police are investigating the cause of the fire.
