Who will win the eleventh edition of the Drèents Liedtiesfestival? In the Atlas Theater in Emmen, ten finalists compete for the title and a cash prize of 2000 euros. With that amount, the winner can record and release his or her song.
Last year, Rick Hilberts won with Falling stars. The jury called the song “innovative and unearthly beautiful, a simple song that needs nothing more than a good singer and beautiful lyrics.”
In addition to the title and the prize money, Hilberts, as a representative of Low Saxon, was delegated to the European Song Contest for Minority Languages.
