According to the police in Amsterdam, she was sent away with her two co-defendants, including her son. The three remain suspects, but it is not necessary for the investigation to detain them any longer, the police report.
The police have previously said that three people have been arrested for destruction, threats and abuse of supermarket staff, but would not say who it is. Glennis Grace’s lawyer confirmed that this concerns the 43-year-old singer, her 15-year-old son and a friend of the family.
Grace’s son entered the supermarket at the beginning of the evening smoking and is said to have been violently evicted from the store. The singer then returned later in the evening, with a group of acquaintances, to address the employees involved. A fight ensued.
The singer’s lawyers and management said: “Following various questions about Glennis Grace’s situation and the various stories that have appeared in the media, we inform you that the police investigation is still ongoing and that we trust that it will it will become apparent that Glennis has not committed any criminal offences. We will now wait and see before making any further announcements.”
