The village will be 200 years old at the end of this month and on the occasion of the anniversary they will hang the entire village full of flags on Saturday. This means that from Saturday about 40 kilometers of flags will hang through the village. If you like to watch working people, go through the village during the day on Saturday. If you especially like to see the flags, then it is better to drive through them on Sunday.

You can do that on Saturday in Orvelte, because that’s where the Celtic Folk Festival settles. “Experience the vibrant world of Celtic folk music at the enchanting Celtic Folk Festival.” There is a Celtic Market, a Children’s Village, food and drink and therefore Celtic live music. This Orvelte Open Air event can be visited on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The VAM|12, as the event is called, is the predecessor of the VAM|24, which is scheduled for next year and will last 24 hours.
