Several people were injured in an accident on the Europaweg near Schoonebeek this morning. A car drove into a tree, how that happened is unknown.
Two people were taken to hospital, according to a bystander, a woman and a child. A third occupant was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters. The roof was cut off the car, after which the third occupant could also be taken to the hospital.
Police say no other vehicles were involved in the accident. The fire brigade, ambulance and the mobile medical team, among others, came to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.
