Third win in a row, unprecedented streak so far, 47 points and feeding with facts the dream, prudent or not, of fighting for Europe. It was not an afternoon as colorful as the glorious victory against Real Madrid, far from it, but it was also worth that less splendid version, just as fun, ambitious and effective.

A goal from Bernardo In the last action of the first half, shortly after a disallowed goal for Oriol Romeu, he served the people of Girona to put the game back on track, which Mallorca tied and Castellanos resolved. Up to 1-0, a lot of local possession, a couple of warnings from Castellanos, but the best chance for Mallorca with a shot to the post by Antonio Sánchez after a play by Kang-In Lee.
Bernardo’s goal rewarded a Girona that was going from less to more. Tsygankov served a great lateral free kick to the far post, the ball hit Jaume Costa’s hand and while several local players called for a penalty, the center-back, very smart, scored after hitting the crossbar.
The game was very lively in the second half. Girona hugged Mallorca but a Muriqi goal disallowed for offside (of course) that Mateu Lahoz took his time to confirm and warned that nothing was done. That is why Míchel’s team went for the second, which could have arrived in a chip from Artero, when he had just left the field, which Valjent saved on the line with the goalkeeper already surpassed. Shortly after it was Miguel who put Rajkovic to the test.
The 2-0 resisted and Mallorca found the goal thanks to a penalty converted by Muriqi 10 minutes from time. Despite the tie, the locals continued to do their thing, going for the victory, and Romeu made Rajkovic shine who repelled a whiplash with the help of the crossbar. It would have been one of the goals of the year. Oriol was not right but he did appear Taty Castellanos to, with a header, make it 2-1 with Montilivi chanting his name. His sixth goal in the last three games, almost nothing.
There were seven added minutes, Munuera Martínez is doing well, but Girona knew how to keep its advantage and extend, thus, your state of happiness.
