The US fashion group Guess Inc. has found a new chief financial officer. On Tuesday, the company announced the appointment of Markus Neubrand as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Neubrand will take up the post on August 1, replacing Dennis Secor, who has led finance as interim CFO for over a year since Katie Anderson stepped down, Guess said.
The designated CFO comes from the fashion company MCM Global AG, where he has been Group Chief Financial Officer since the beginning of 2021. Before that, Neubrand had spent 17 years at the Metzingen-based fashion group Hugo Boss AG, where he held various management positions.
Guess CEO Carlos Alberini justified the personnel decision: “After a conscientious search process, we are pleased to welcome Markus as the new Chief Financial Office of our company,” he said in a statement. Neubrand is “a proven leader in finance and operations” and also has “extensive experience in the apparel industry.”
In addition to Neubrand’s appointment, the company announced another change in finance: Fabrice Benarouche, who had served as vice president, finance and investor relations since 2014, was promoted to senior vice president, finance, investor relations, and chief accounting officer, effective immediately.
