On Monday evening, a drunk driver caused several accidents in Wittenau.
According to the police, two witnesses (45, 51) saw a 45-year-old driver standing by her vehicle on Rue Georges Vallerey around 7 p.m. Apparently she had a traffic accident with a car parked there. The witnesses offered to help.
After a short conversation, the driver got back into her car and drove off. According to the police, she bumped into the 45-year-old, who then fell and injured her leg. The victim was taken to a hospital – and the driver fled.
However, she did not get far: on the Alt-Wittenau road, she left the road in a left-hand bend to Gorkistrasse, hit a tree and injured her leg.
Two witnesses who rushed to the scene provided first aid. The driver was taken to a hospital. Since the woman was apparently drunk, according to the police, she had to have blood drawn.
