Annual street bulging in Helkijn
The game has been played in Helkijn for over thirty years, every year on 1 May. Duos compete against each other on three courts in the Kerkstraat. As always, the base of street bulging is café ‘Les Bourleurs’, and all of their proceeds go to Jong Helkijn, the local football team and organizer of the event.
Future uncertain
But what will happen in the future is not yet known. The owners of the café ‘Les Bourleurs’ close their café in July. And that means that the organization will have to look for a new operating base.
