For 2022, the Cádiz City Council has announced that the carnival was postponed for health reasons. In this way, the party will be celebrated from Thursday June 2 to Sunday 12 of the same month.
The traditional Official Contest of Carnival Groups (COAC) will also return after the suspension of 2021 and is scheduled to be held in three phases: preselection, semifinal and final. The first stage of the process is expected to start on May 9.
