Vegetable sector agreement: fairer prices for products
After the protests on Thursday and Friday in which growers protested with their tractors, consultations were held today. The farmers are not successful, but the major buyers have made a number of concessions.
It may not immediately lead to new farmers’ protests, because there is an agreement with small concessions from the buyers. The hoped-for compensation of a 10 percent increase in production costs, if only for more expensive fertilizer and energy, is not forthcoming.
