We are very happy to present: A new festival is rolling out in Braunschweig with the “Trainside”. The latest new confirmations reinforce the impression: Trainside and MUSIKEXPRESS, that fits together wonderfully.
The new Trainside Festival, presented by MUSIKEXPRESS, is taking shape. Already confirmed in the line-up were The Dead South, Die Sterne, Friska Viljor, yours truly Linus Volkmann, Oska and Wallis Bird. Following what is now a second wave of announcements, they are joined by none other than Tocotronic, Charlotte Brandi, The Gardener & The Tree and Courtney Marie Andrews. More names are to follow.
Broken down by days, the line-up currently looks like this:
08/25: tocotronic (new), Friska Viljor, The Stars, Charlotte Brandi (new), Linus Volkmann, and others
08/26: The Dead South, Wallis Bird, The Gardener & The Tree (new), OSKA, Courtney Marie Andrews (new) and more
The Trainside Festival will take place for the first time this summer, on 25th and 26th August 2023. The location will be rather unusual: The event will be held at the Lokpark Braunschweig, the former steam locomotive repair shop. However, the visitors will not camp with tents and sleeping bags on the site, as is usual at most festivals, but can book their own accommodation in the nearby city center of Braunschweig and thus also promote the regional offers.
The two-day event combines a mixture of music and spoken word on stage. Musically, it settles between alternative, rock and indie pop, as well as on the site is to read. The stages and the street food miles are located in or between locomotive carriages.
Day tickets are available for 59 euros, Early Birds are sold out. The saver price two-day ticket is currently available for 79 euros.
