Due to a collision with two cars this afternoon around 12.30 pm, the A9 is closed to traffic between Amstelveen and Alkmaar at the Haarlem-Zuid/Beverwijk-Oost exit. A car ended up on its side, four people were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Fire, police and several ambulances attended the accident. An air ambulance landed on the highway.
The A9 will be closed for some time due to salvage work. Police are still investigating how the accident happened. Traffic can detour via the Velsertunnel.
The condition of the four people involved is unknown.
