Social agreement at carpet manufacturer Balta
Due to rising wage costs, the production of wall-to-wall carpet is no longer profitable here. Balta moves production to Great Britain. As a result, a maximum of 30 white-collar workers and 241 blue-collar workers will lose their jobs, about 25 fewer than originally anticipated. In addition to a fixed premium, the departers also receive a premium per year of seniority. It is not yet clear when exactly the dismissal will take effect, but Balta wants to have the main part arranged by 20 July.
