The American metropolis of New York appointed its first rat catcher or ‘rat czar’ on Wednesday. Brand new director of rodent control Kathleen Corradi will be tasked with getting the rat population in New York under control. The Big Apple has long been battling a massive rat population. The rodents are often spotted in the streets, subway stations or in the rubbish bins.
