After a major search with the police, Coast Guard, KNRM and the Veteran Search Team on Texel yesterday, the 46-year-old German tourist was found today in good health.
The woman was last seen on Texel on Saturday afternoon when she had left “in a worrying condition” from a campsite in the north of the island. She was going to walk the dog, but when she left she didn’t have the dog with her.

During the search, several helicopters, drones and sniffer dogs were used yesterday. The rescue service KNRM and the Veteran Search Team also joined the search. And the coastguard also searched the water with an airplane.
Where exactly the woman was eventually found and why she left, the police could not say. “It is very nice that she has been found again. We thank everyone for looking out.”
