“Where did our money go?” That is what at least 27 victims wonder after they put the largest budget of their lives into a new home, but then every construction came to a standstill. The subcontractors emptied the houses because the West Flemish construction promoter no longer paid the invoices and disappeared from the radar. Most of the victims now want to file a complaint. “Our 50,000 euros has disappeared,” Gerty testifies. “This is pure fraud. He is gone with our well-earned money.”
