A fire broke out in a high-rise building in Prenzlauer Berg on Saturday afternoon. A woman died in the process.
As the fire brigade announced, three people with smoke hoods had to be rescued from the building on Saturday. According to a fire department spokesman, ten residents received medical care on site, but none of them had to go to the hospital.
The house on Hanns-Eisler-Strasse has ten floors, and according to the information, it burned on the fourth floor. The dead woman was found in the fire apartment.
According to the spokesman, a good 50 fire brigade forces were deployed. The fire could be extinguished quickly. The bigger problem in such cases is often the resulting smoke. The stairwell was partly smoked. Fire smoke is highly hazardous if inhaled.
