A father (40) and son (17) were assaulted by a group of young people in the night from Saturday to Sunday in Breda. They were taken to hospital with facial injuries. Two men from Zevenbergen (22 and 23) have been arrested.
The father and son cycled home through the Valkenberg Park after a visit to a café. Here they got into an altercation with a group of five youths.
This escalated after which the victims were beaten and kicked several times. Surveillance officers were in the park and were able to arrest two suspects. The police are trying to find out who the other three are.
