There is no size for Ajax Women in recent matches. That was confirmed again on Saturday evening after the easy win over PEC Zwolle: 3-0. The victory resulted in three points and Danny Schenkel’s team is again at the top of the women’s Eredivisie.
Club top scorer Romée Leuchter scored the 1-0 on a pass from Chasity Grant after twelve minutes. That was her 15th goal of the season. Ajax then continued to attack, but the score remained the same when the break came.
Sherida Spitse was close to a goal in the second half, her free kick went just wide. Hereafter, Leuchter got another chance, before Jonna van der Velde doubled the lead. The team from Amsterdam then continued to attack, but it took until the final phase before the 3-0 was made. Tiny Hoekstra scored her first goal of this season.
