Leadership that makes a difference

A new leadership is consolidated step by step, making room for mistakes and learning from them. So much so that perhaps this is one of the first rules that were installed, and that today it is a basic norm. SIf these leaders come to teach us something, it is that the sooner an error is made, the faster the trajectory of the project can be corrected. And in this second part of the equation is the key: the important thing is to have a positive reaction, to be able to learn from the mistake and dynamically recalculate the path that should be taken.

Consciousness is made like this, cawareness of the leading role of soft skills in this leadership model. Because? Because today it is recognized that better results are achieved when teams are given autonomy and are allowed to deploy their skills.

It is critical that the leader encourage this movement, not limit it, and give team members space to take initiative.. They need to be able to propose, contribute ideas and dare to question, no matter how established the process is. And it is that successful leaders know that this is the real way to evolve.

And now, after the pandemic, a new challenge must be added: Being able to lead teams that have different work modalities. It is that many include some members who work 100% remotely, others prefer to go for hybrid options and less and less want a face-to-face model as before.

This is why it becomes essential to create a bond of absolute trust between leaders and the team. And this foundation is rooted in a premise: for everything to work Responsibility must be delegated to collaborators and given the confidence that they will be up to the task. And for this to happen, their self-esteem as professionals must be strengthened, they must be given credit for their successes and mistakes must be addressed, focusing on what is discovered to improve.

That’s when the soft skills of leaders come into play. Thus, it is understood that these guides no longer have to concentrate knowledge, but rather have the capacity to manage what collaborators have as added value and generate the context for each one to reach their potential.

Achieving a group of leaders with the ability to adapt to change, who take into account the needs of collaborators, customers and the market is what gives added value and makes a difference.

With this journey accomplished, it is worth delving into this leadership model, so that it becomes more fluid every day, reaching all industries.
